- This collar was recommended for our growing, large (and strong!) golden doodle, and we are very pleased with it. The collar is very high quality: well made, good materials, beautiful looking. The leather looks like it will hold up well to our young dog who is still learning good manners on the leash (i.e. sudden lunges in excitement). the brass D-ring is also thicker on this collar than on the Heirloom Star Collar (also a beautiful collar but not as hefty). I had a problem with my first order and the customer service was excellent–they took care of everything quickly and with the greatest degree of courtesy. I highly recommend this collar and company.
