This auspicious lamp comes as a part of the Ashtamangalya set, traditionally given to the bride upon marriage, and also used for similar Mangalya occasions. An exquisite traditional design, and a most auspicious gift It is a lamp widely used in Kerala temples. . It is used during auspicious events associated with Hindu religion. The lamp has a long handle towards the back. There is a small dip (depression) in the middle for holding oil. In front adjoining the depression is the small depression to light the lamp or diya.
