I love love Marie Sharp’s and get all my hot sauces from them, but this sauce is not for me. The trouble is that the garlic overpowers everything and never seems to improve the overall flavor of the dish. I’ve bought boxes of all the flavors over the years and three of the five garlics I got two years ago are still in my basement. It’s not that it’s terrible, it’s just that I don’t have a reason to use it—there’s always a bottle of the classic around. If you’re looking for variety and you can stand a little extra heat, the Belizean Heat Hot Sauce is a much better choice. It could be that I’m extra sensitive to garlic or that my dishes just don’t lend themselves so well to this sauce, but whatever it is, I don’t think I’m getting this one again.
